The victim of a car-crash is badly scarred on the left side of her face. A new form of therapy is offered to her by some bio-technologists, who have the means to remove the scar-tissue. She has some severe internal conflict over being the first test-person evoer for the new treatment, but they do it anyway.
At first it doesn't seem to work, but when the scars vanish, she even looks better than before. The doctor, just wants to fall in love with her, when her problems return, probably because of too much alcohol. The Doctor's relationship with his assistant also seems to be intimate. Police how up at the place, when thing start getting more boring than strange and creepy, the Doctor makes a self-experiment, that's not saving the show either.
Atom-age is also the age of bio-technology, but did he actually transplant his assistant's mind into the blond woman's head, no idea?
More self-experimentation turns him into a monstrous killer. The police cannot make any sense out of the story either, they ask the scientist, whether miraculous recovery from bad injuries is possible, which he denies. Upon their leave it shows, he kept Janette, the blond woman, concealed in his hot-house. There is more bad drama and a visit to the cinema, there is some fuss, when he attacks another woman in her bedroom, they start hunting him down, police inspect the empty film-theartre and find some traces there.
Somebody comes to save Janette from the monstrous Doctor, but the police finally take her out of the place, the Doctor even gets his human appearance back in the end.
Overall it's a totally terrible, even unbelievably bad movie. In my opinion it's completely impossible to like that trash, although it may be worth a laugh occasionally.
